How to Search in the Gorkana Database

Select Database search from the Media Database dropdown menu on the Dashboard. You will see the search home page on which you can find the following actions:
Results: You will see a list matched journalists and bloggers who are ranked in terms of relevancy, which means the number of times they have mentioned the search term in the last 90 days.
Gorkana ready made lists: Popular lists ready made by our specialists to Quickly get a list of key contacts for this topic. Just choose your country from the drop-down menu and you will get the lists that are relevant to your location.
Top Blogs: Find topical Blogs and Bloggers
Regional mapping: Find local outlets for regional press releases
Forward Features: Find out which outlets are looking for stories around the areas that matter to you
Begin to build your search by selecting relevant criteria from the panel on the left hand side. When you expand the sectors, a search box appears allowing you to enter the sector you are looking for.
Quick Tip: If you wish to go back to the Search home page click on Search Home in the top left of your screen.
Your selected criteria appear on the right hand side as you build up the filters. The Results counter shows you how many journalists will be on your list. Clicking on Search brings you to the results page, which shows basic information about the Journalist or Media Outlet displayed.
Quick Tip: Keep an eye on the results counter showing you how many journalists you are narrowing down to!
