Send a Batch Email

Sometimes, you’d like to email a number of journalists at the same time. While you could use the single email UI to message each contact separately, it can be much more efficient to use the platform's batch email interface.

 To navigate to the Pinpoint Contacts section of the app:

1. Click on the Influencers tab.
2. Select Discover.

3. Select the contacts you want to send an email to from either:
Your Searches on the Discover tab, saved searches in the Saved tab, or Search for contacts in the Search tab.

4. Click on the Email selected contacts button.

 To Compose your Email:

Next, you’ll be brought to the batch email composition window. The following options are available in the batch composition interface:

1. Select sender email address This dropdown allows you to select between the email addresses that you have integrated into the platform.
2. CC & BCC These fields function exactly as they would in a standard email client. Please note that any addresses added to the CC/BCC fields on this form will be sent copies of every email that is sent out.
3. Subject Enter in the subject for the email.
4. Text formatting bar The platform provides all the standard email formatting options that users have come to expect from email clients. In addition, we offer several template strings, such as first name, last name, and full name.
5. Body Compose your message.
6. Send me a test email Send a test version of the current email to the email address listed in the sender field. This will not send any emails out to contacts.
7. Once complete, click the Next: Review and Personalize button.

To Personalise your email for each contact:

1. On this screen, you’ll be able to personalise messages to each of the selected contacts. You can customise every part of the message that you could in the batch composition stage.
2. Lastly, click the Send All Now button to send your messages.
